IN THE MIRROR

Unique, 2019

In the Mirror is a response to the bind you enter with someone when sharing a meal. The story is told through an interactive experience with two persons. It utilizes a one-way mirror, an enveloping seating format, and a repetitive fabric pattern to melt a state of heightened sensation in the presence of another person, with the self-awareness of eating alone. Seeing and responding folds into a receptive loop.

The two chairs meet the center structure at a zig-zag junction, to open the possibility that this experience can, at any time, come apart.
